What's new with Jen Flynn?

Wow, life has been a bit crazy busy! Just a bit of an update on what has been going on in the life of Jen Flynn....... In august I decided I really wanted to pursue a path in the fitness industry, I really have wanted to be a "trainer" and help others reach their fat loss goal for quite some time but just didn't put my desire in to action.  Most of you know that I have a AAS degree in Physical Therapy and have been in the long term care field for almost 20 years, but it is VERY different working with people that are focused on fitness and nutrition and bringing their bodies to a peak level.   I discovered that this is REALLY where my heart lies.
My ULTIMATE goal would one day to open up a health center that encompasses a multidisciplinary team to help people that have that desire to change.  In order to do that I need to learn MORE and experience MORE! I have set myself up to do just that, I'm following my path to my dream and absolutely love it!! I am working for Altman fitness, personal training with clients, assisting with classes, getting ready to start an awesome low impact class at Altman Fitness called POWER 45.  I just completed my group fitness certification so I am now "officially" a trainer.  I am working towards an even higher level over the next few months so I better educate others.  All this while running a busy Photography business, busy family and household......Whew!

The most recent project with Altman Fitness that I have been assisting with is called the Fat Loss Mastermind group.  I am really excited about it because it is going to give EVERYONE access to the same information I received over the past year and a half.  Our kick-off seminar is on October 6th from 12:30-5:30 at the Altman Fitness Gym.  Jay Altman will be presenting a heap load of information about more than I can even tell you about! Things like:

  • What is at the top of the list to buy organic? what don't you need to buy organic?
  • Raw verses pasteurized milk
  • irradiated food and microwave ovens
  • cooked verses raw food
  • GMO foods
  • Fiber, colon health and detoxification
  • pros and cons of grains, Alcohol and Dairy
  • Fats, oils, salt, water
And so much more information that it's endless! No really.... endless!!!
If your interested you can do 1 of 2 options:

1. you can attend just the seminar and get 5 hours of great information. And it will be available for online viewing as well for $99.00
2. you can become a member for 20.00/month you get the seminar and more! (the price will go up as time goes on) and no you do not have to sign a contract!

If you are interested in just the seminar you can sign up for the  Seminar HERE
(sign up for just the Seminar for 99.00)

If you are interested in becoming a member in the Mastermind group you can sign up 20.00 Member Here

I can't tell you how incredibly valuable and amazing this group is going to be. I hope you will join me this sunday, October 6th at the Altman Fitness Gym located at:  7417 Washington Ave South (off 169 & Valley View Road)

The right path?

When your doing something you love, do you ever second guess yourself?   Am I doing the right thing, following the right path?
I think we start to think that way when we are scared, and it can be that excited scared. But I believe that is when you know you are living.  I was unhappiest when I wasn't scared, when life was less than exciting.  I know a lot of you hate the bad, I see it a lot on Facebook.  Maybe you repeatedly get sick or your kids are sick or you are in a bad relationship or a job you dislike.  I know, I've been there and it sucks. And you wait for the next day and the next hoping that one day it will get better.  Well my friend...... it can get better. And I'm not trying to sit here and be like hey follow me, eat right and exercise and life can be better!  No, what I am trying to do is lead an example.  Give you hope, show you that small changes, little steps really do lead to bigger changes.  Your asking yourself right now "where do I start?" I know because I was exactly there.  Set a goal... this is what my trainer, Jay Altman always says to me. #1 set a goal.  Yours might be to get all your work done in an 8 hour shift and not bring it home.  Someone else it might be to just make it through your day at work and feel happy.  It might be to feel better, not have a headache or feel tired.  What ever it is.... set a goal and write it down.  Then you have to figure our how your are going to get there.  If it's to get all your work done in 8 hours you might have to get creative and figure out how that would be possible?  Maybe it's asking someone else to take some of your workload. And please don't get in the habit of saying "that's never going to happen" people what to help others, it's in our nature, the problem is usually how we ask.  Get creative and make it fun and team building verses demanding and authoritive.  If your goal is to just get through your day feeling happy, well then you put a smile on your face.  Stand up tall, pull your shoulders back make your appearance be known and felt..... and put a smile on your face :) If your goal is to feel better, try just increasing your water for one day and getting to bed at a good time so you get your 8 hours of rest in.
Small steps, you can do it.

And yes, I BELIEVE I am on the right path!

You can see what others can't see for your life and your dream. Make it okay to stand alone or apart from the crowd. You are the architect of your life. Give yourself permission to express the real you, or another part of yourself. It doesn't matter if others don't get you. Stay focused on what you want, even if it doesn't seem possible right now ~ Les Brown
